MAAL HIJRAH

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
May peace and blessings of Allah be upon Muhammad, the final messenger Salam and hi to all........

Salam Maal Hijrah to all fellow Muslims and for those who curious for this day. Maal Hijrah or Awal Muharram is the start of the Muslim calendar year. Literally it means migration and celebrates our prophet's migration from Mecca to Medina. Therefore, it is a time for a new beginning, a change from bad to good and a chance to re-eavualate one's life and direction.I would like to share with you storyand this might be useful to those who has no idea on what to be changed in conjuction of Maal Hijrah.

Ok, here we go. We discussed about the words most people used when being tested with turbulence in life. Some might consider the mishaps of the burdens as punishment from Allah SWT for their past sins. Putting Allah as punisher, we believed that justice is served. We did wrongful deed and punishment is given. Case closed.

I have a suggestion. Instead of treating this as the punishment we deserved, we make a creatively adjustment by accepting the diffilcuties wholeheartedly and keep our contentedness to Allah SWT firm, keep our heart open and treat this as a unique way of love poured by Allah SWT. Thanking Allah for the pain and miseries born by us? It is hard to implement this, but when you have done it, I mean having the feelingof content too the all unwanted life incidents. You will notice the peaceful feelings derived from your inside.

The other point is the way the Muslims celebrate New Year's Day is very different from other such celebrations. They gather in mosques and offer special prayers and listen to special readings from the al-Quran. An important part of the prayer service is the narration of the Hegira or the flight of prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. Muslims are supposed to reflect on their life, the manner in which they are leading their life and about their own mortality. The day is spend in prayer and on reflecting on how one is leading one's life.
Lastly, Salam Maal Hijrah to all Muslims worldwide. I pray that all of us be blessed with Allah's countless bounties, a fruitful, prosperous, and peaceful year ahead, insyaallah. Wish everyone Maal Hijrah and may this year be better than the last. May our dreams, desires, and wishes be true and may all be in the pink of health under the blessing of the Almighty; the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.

Happy New Year! Maal Hijrah!
